The last two days of my Vienna trip were spent travelling. Unfortunately, that is the downside of travelling by bus. They try to make it fun by adding an excursion to one of the days. Day six of my Vienna trip was my last full day in Vienna and I used it to visit three museums. I bought a combi-ticket for both locations of the Art History museum and for the Imperial Treasury. I began in the Imperial Treasury because it was the first to open!

Day four began in the Seegrotte. In this old mine, an explosion took place and the caves flooded creating an amazing underground lake. The caves were also used as an aircraft manufacturing facility with the use of forced labour during the second world war. The water is amazingly transparent. We had a short stop at [read more]
