The Chaumet Emerald Tiara is an Art Deco piece created in 1926 at the request of Prince Félix, husband of Charlotte, Grand Duchess of Luxembourg. It was made from various jewels that were already part of the Grand Ducal Collection.

Grand Duchess Charlotte was the first to wear it, and it has been passed through the generations since then. The tiara has a platinum base and was crafted by the jeweller Chaumet. It features a large emerald at its centre, surrounded by diamonds. It was one of Charlotte’s favourite tiaras and she wore it often.

It has been worn by every other Grand Duchess since, but it wasn’t a favourite of Josephine-Charlotte’s.

In 2023, it was also worn by Princess Alexandra during the New Year’s reception.

Grand Duchess Stéphanie wore the tiara for the first time in early 2024 during the Czech state visit when she was still the Hereditary Grand Duchess.
