The Hohenzollern crypt in the Berliner Dom is to be restored. The crypt contains sarcophaguses of almost 100 members of the family. The restoration is estimated to cost 17 million euro and will start in the second half of 2019. It will take about two years.

Among other things, the entrance to the crypt will be modified to allow for easier access.

The crypt is open to the public, and it is quite amazing to visit. Over 700,000 people visit the crypt each year. Read a report on my 2015 visit here.
