The Liechtenstein Habsburg Fringe tiara was made around 1890.

It was most likely made for Infanta Maria Theresa of Portugal, the wife of Archduke Karl Ludwig of Austria. The tiara made its way to the princely family of Liechtenstein through her daughter’s marriage to Prince Alois of Liechtenstein.1 The Court Jeweller [/note] They were the parents of the reigning Prince Franz Joseph II, who in turn was the father of the current reigning Prince Hans-Adam II.

The Habsburg Fringe Tiara recently appeared on the head of his granddaughter, Princess Marie Caroline, for her wedding to  Leopoldo Maduro Vollmer in August 2025.

The tiara has been worn by her mother, her grandmother, and her great-grandmother, as well as by several Princesses on their wedding days.
