We covered girl/girl twins earlier.
Royal twins have happened several times in history. Here are some examples of girl/boy twins.
Archduchess Hermine & Archduke Stephen, Palatine of Hungary

Archduchess Hermine and her twin brother, Stephen, were born on 14 September 1817 as the children of Archduke Joseph, Palatine of Hungary and Princess Hermine of Anhalt-Bernburg-Schaumburg-Hoym. Their 19-year-old mother died later that same day from complications of childbirth. Their father remarried in 1819 to Duchess Maria Dorothea of Württemberg, who raised the twins as her own. From this marriage, they also gained five half-siblings, of whom three survived to adulthood, including Archduchess Marie Henriette, who became Queen of the Belgians.
Hermine never married, and in 1837, she became the Princess-Abbess of the Theresian Royal and Imperial Ladies Chapter of the Castle of Prague. She had poor health for most of her life, but she still died rather unexpectedly on 13 February 1842 at the age of 24. Her brother also remained unmarried, and he died on 19 February 1867 at the age of 49.
Princess Margaretha of Luxembourg & Prince Jean of Luxembourg

Princess Margaretha and her brother, Prince Jean, were born on 15 May 1957 as the children of the future Grand Duke Jean of Luxembourg and Princess Joséphine-Charlotte of Belgium. They were the third and fourth child, respectively. Luxembourg only introduced absolute primogeniture in 2011, so no matter their birth order, Jean would be ahead in the line of succession. Margaretha has succession rights but only in the event of the extinction of all male dynasts and all dynasts descended from Grand Duke Henri.
Margaretha studied at the European School of Luxembourg (ESL) and later also at schools in Belgium, the United Kingdom and the United States. She has a doctorate in social sciences. On 20 March 1982, she married Prince Nikolaus of Liechtenstein, the third son of Franz Joseph II, Prince of Liechtenstein, and they had four children together. Their eldest son died on the day of his birth.
Prince Jean attended university in Geneva. He married Hélène Suzanna Vestur in 1987, and they had four children together. This marriage was considered morganatic, and their children were originally styled as Count/ess of Nassau. They were upgraded to Prince/Princesse de Nassau in 2004 without succession rights. Jean lost his succession rights upon marriage. They divorced in 2004, and Jean remarried Diane de Guerre in 2009.
Princess Josephine & Prince Vincent of Denmark

Princess Josephine and her brother, Vincent, were born on 8 January 2011. Prince Vincent was born 26 minutes earlier. They were baptised on 14 April at the church of Holmen in Copenhagen by Erik Norman Svendsen, the Bishop of Copenhagen. Josephine’s godparents are Princess Marie of Denmark, Patricia Bailey, Prince Carlo, Duke of Castro, Count Bendt Wedell, Birgitte Handwerk and Josephine Rechner. Vincent’s godparents are John Stuart Donaldson, the Prince of Sayn-Wittgenstein-Berleburg (then the Hereditary Prince), Caroline Heering, the King of Spain (then the Prince of Asturias), Count Michael Ahlefeldt-Laurvig-Bille and Baroness Helle Reedtz-Thott. Vincent wore the Danish royal family’s traditional christening gown while Josephine wore a gown found among the belongings of Queen Ingrid.
Josephine and Vincent both started school at the Tranegårdsskolen in Gentofte in 2017. However, in 2023, Josephine went to the Kildegård Privatskole in Hellerup while Vincent remained at the Tranegårdsskolen.
Annia Aurelia Galeria Lucilla & Gemellus Lucillae

Lucilla and her twin brother, Gemellus Lucillae, were born on 7 March in 148 or 150 as the children of Roman Emperor Marcus Aurelius and Roman Empress Faustina the Younger. Her brother was the elder twin, but he died young in 150. Her mother had two other sets of twins, all boys, of whom just one survived to adulthood. Lucilla married her father’s co-ruler Lucius Verus, who was 18 years older than her, in 164. She received the title of Augusta and became Roman Empress. She and her husband had three children, but two of them died young. She was widowed around 168/169. Another marriage was arranged to Tiberius Claudius Pompeianus Quintianus, and they had one son together. She was exiled for plotting to kill her brother, and he later sent an executioner after her. She was killed in the year 182.
Cleopatra Selene II & Alexander Helios

Cleopatra Selene II and Alexander Helios were the twins of Cleopatra VII and Mark Anthony; they were born in the autumn of 40 B.C. Marc Anthony was not there when they were born, and he formally acknowledged the twins when they were three years old. Alexander Helios disappears from the records sometime after their parents committed suicide. Cleopatra Selene’s marriage to King Juba II of Mauretania was arranged, and they went on to have two children together. She was eventually created a co-ruler with her husband. The exact date of her death is unknown, but she was around 35 years old.
Princess Margarita of Bourbon-Parma & Prince Jaime of Bourbon-Parma

Princess Margarita and her twin brother, Jaime, were born on 13 October 1972 as the twins of Princess Irene of the Netherlands and Carlos Hugo, future titular Duke of Parma. The twins were born six weeks early and spent some time in the hospital. They were born via a caesarean section, and Princess Margarita is the elder by a minute. The care team even received the Order of Orange-Nassau for their care. Because of their stay in the hospital, they were christened there two weeks after they were born. Since Margarita is not eligible to claim the headship of the House of Bourbon-Parma as she is a woman, their birth order is not relevant.
Princess Margarita and Prince Jaime moved to the Netherlands when their parents divorced in 1981. Margarita studied Cultural Anthropology at the Vrije Universiteit of Amsterdam, and she now has her own jewellery line. She married Edwin de Roy van Zuydewijn in 2001, but they were divorced in 2007. In 2008, she remarried to Tjalling Siebe ten Cate, and they have two daughters together. They separated in 2023.
Prince Jaime studied international relations at Brown University in the United States. He later obtained a master’s degree in International Economics and Conflict Management at Johns Hopkins University. In 2013, he married Viktória Cservenyák, and they had two daughters together.
In 1996, the children of Princess Irene were all incorporated into the Dutch nobility by their aunt, Queen Beatrix. They are therefore noble Prince(sses) of Pourbon-Parma with the style of His/Her Royal Highness. They are members of the extended Dutch royal family, but they do not belong to the Dutch royal house, nor are they in the line of succession for the Dutch throne.
Princess Gabriella and Prince Jacques of Monaco
Princess Gabriella and her twin brother, Jacques, were born on 10 December 2014 as the twins of Albert II, Prince of Monaco and Princess Charlene. Princess Gabriella is the elder twin by two minutes. However, Monaco still practises male-preference primogeniture, which means that Prince Jacques is the heir to the Monegasque throne. He received the title Marquis of Baux. Princess Gabriella received the title Countess of Carladès, and she is second in the line of succession. They both received a 21-cannon salute on the day they were born.
Gabriella and Jacques were baptised at the Cathedral of Our Lady Immaculate in Monaco-Ville on 10 May 2015. Gabriella’s godparents are Gareth Wittstock and Nerine Pienaar while Jacques’s godparents are Christopher Le Vine Jr. and Diane de Polignac Nigra.
Since 2021, Gabriella and Jacques have attended the François d’Assise-Nicolas Barré School.
