Princess Mako’s Tiara was worn by Princess Mako of Akishino.

She received the tiara for her 20th birthday in 2011 – the age of majority in Japan. The tiara features a floral motif based on the iris setosa, which is her mother’s emblem. The tiara is part of a parure, which also features a necklace, a brooch, bracelets and earrings.

It was made by Wako.

Princess Mako wore the tiara at all official events until she married outside of the family in 2021. The tiara has now returned to the imperial vaults.
